We're slowly getting our lives back in order since our house burned on 10/17/02. Austin and Phebe are still with their breeders and our new house is now under roof. It'll probably be another month or two before we can move back home. I miss the pups horribly. Hopefully, though, this is a new start in our lives and we will be back out hitting the shows again this summer.

Much to my unexpected delight, we have a new member of our family! Daydream Chatelet Secret Powers, better known as Austin. Austin was born in August 9, 2001. Very special thank you to my friends, Brian Carbone, Austin's breeder, and Tom and Carole Luke, who were instrumental in his coming here. Thank you for this very beautiful, special boy. Austin will hit the show ring in earnest next year after he gets his adult coat in. See his pedigree here.

Emmett earned his CGC yesterday at the benched Chicago show!! I am very proud of my buddy. This is an important first step for both of us, as it is my heart's desire to work with him in obedience to at least a CD.

Well, we entered Phebe for her first show the first part of Feb. I hope she does well. She does very well here at home, but with all the new sites, sounds and smells at a dog show, I'm sure about 80% of all the practicing will go out the window. Besides, I'm attributing about 35% of the 80 to her being a Schipperke puppy. :) Wish us luck!!!

It official!! Phebe has her name now! We got her papers in the mail this afternoon. Yippee!!
