Our Views on Schips

*Schipperkes are definately not for everyone. I can say that with authority. ~G~ Upon meeting our older, more laid back Emmett and Lucy, a recent visitor fell completely in love with Schipperkes..... until we brought out the Puppy, aka Phebe. "Oh my gosh! She doesn't STOP!" was one of the things she had to say about Phebe, and pretty much hits the nail on the head!

*We feel first and foremost that no matter what we do in the show ring, obedience ring or where ever we may go with our companions, they are more than our pets, they are family members, but more than family members... friends. Keepers of secrets, sharers of tears, bringers of laughter when there doesn't seems to be anything to laugh at. They are our awesome little watchdogs and most excellent lap warmers.

*If we decide to undergo the heavy responsibility of breeding Schipperkes, the pups should be, in simple terms, beautiful, loving, move like silk, have personality plus - they should have a fun sparkling temperment, be someone's very best friend, smart, healthy as an ox, excel in any/all activities they're owners choose to participate in = follow the Schipperke Standards as set by the AKC as closely as feasible with the goal of improving the breed.
